Binary mash-up

The performance Binary mash-up (2019) could be described as a public choreographic process where objects, scents, movements and sounds with clearly gender-coded attributes are explored through reiteration, combinations, and claims. The performing body is 'returning with a difference' by using mimetic repetition, citable gestures and strategies from drag as a communicative tool to create constructive distance, exemplifications, and awareness that possibly enables opportunities for discoveries and formulations about gender- expressions and performativity in relation to cis- and heteronormative hegemonies.
